The Bryanston Organic Market

Peter Mthombeni was in 1962 in Benoni, he was the first black man to register at the School of Art & Design in the 80’s before the Government of National Unity came into power in 1994. This incredible man and artist has faced many challenges and still manages to create bright vibrant ceramics that add to any table or meal.

Peter is one of the many exhibitors you can find at the Bryanston Organic & Natural Market every Thursday and Saturday. This vibrant market is one of Johannesburg’s best established markets, 36 years now, with a good strong base of quality exhibitors and artisans. You can stock up on organic vegetables, fruit, cordials, pastries and breads, a selection of Greek & Italian treats and even enjoy a yummy dosa for lunch. The producers and stall owners all love the products they produce and are more than happy to chat to you about them and share their passion.

Check out the market and make sure you pop passed Peter’s stall to stock up on delicious soup bowls for winter – Bryanston Organic & Natural Market; 40 Culross Road, Bryanston.
