In just one evening, we’ll immerse ourselves in the rich flavors of French winter classics, celebrating comfort, tradition, and impeccable technique. Indulge in the iconic Quiche Lorraine, where crisp pastry meets silky, bacon-laced custard, and savor the delicate bite of Gruyère Gougères, irresistibly light and bursting with nutty richness. We’ll explore the soul-warming layers of Tartiflette, with golden potatoes, creamy Reblochon, and smoky lardons melting into an unforgettably satisfying dish. As the evening unfolds, hearty favorites take center stage, with the slow-simmered depth of Coq au Vin, the rich, wine-infused tenderness of Beef Bourguignon, and the briny elegance of Moules Marinière, where fresh mussels in a fragrant broth of white wine, garlic, and herbs. To finish on a truly exquisite note, we will round off the night with a flash of zesty brilliance—a perfectly balanced Tarte au Citron, bright and refreshing, alongside a gorgeous Apple Tarte Tatin, caramelized to perfection and served with luxurious, homemade crème anglaise.

To mark this milestone, we’ll be taking The Cookery experience off-site to the stunning, high-tech Miele Kitchen in Bryanston —the very same space where I first trialed The Cookery concept nearly 11 years ago. This event is also a tribute to some of our amazing partnerships, a celebration of businesses we have worked with for 9-years. The Cookery events have been synonymous with the amazing Haute Cabrière and its incredible offering of wines and these celebratory events will be no different – you can expect bubbles and wine for the evening. We will also be joined by Fishermans Deli Dunkeld, which has supplied us with the finest, freshest seafood in Joburg from the very beginning. If you love seafood, this class is made for you. It will be two unforgettable nights of incredible Italian food, a nod to the cuisine that first launched my journey in this kitchen. Mangiamo! (We Eat!) - DATE Indulge in winter’s richest flavors with a curated selection of 18 exquisite recipes, taking you on a journey through Italy’s most comforting dishes. These dishes will include:

From succulent roasts to decadent sweet treats, you'll learn to create a Christmas feast that blends tradition with South African flair—ensuring the perfect balance of nostalgia and indulgence. Spaces are limited, so don your festive aprons or favourite ugly sweater and join us for a jolly good time! Let’s make this winter a season to remember—filled with flavours that warm the heart and delight the senses. As always, we would like to do a little good to celebrate the festive spirit and we will be collecting food for one of our favourite cat charities Katitude who do amazing work with animals in distress, so any gifts of cat food would be hugely appreciated.
