Then it will be time for Il Mare (8 October, R600), this event is focused on coastal recipes from around Italy, with lots of recipes from the ocean, including Gamberi alla Griglia (grilled prawns), Cozze impepate (steamed black mussels), Pasta allo scoglio (Pasta of the reef), Calamari Fritti, Cioppino (seafood stew), pesce all griglia, insalata di polpo (octopus salad) and lots of dishes to pair perfectly with all the seafood.  We will also be sharing a very special taste of Collatura di Alici, called the essence of the sea this delicious Italian fish sauce made from year-long barrel aged anchovies is a rare and special treat, a unique flavor in Joburg.
